Free Trees Spring 2023 Making Miamisburg Beautiful by Planting Trees

For the last several years I have planted trees and giving them away for free to make Miamisburg a greener place. One year ago I planted these silver maple trees from seeds from the trees in the front yard grown from seeds thirteen years ago. Giving these one year old Silver Maple trees away for free.

Why is planting trees important?

Trees give off oxygen that we need to breathe. Trees reduce the amount of storm water runoff, which reduces erosion and pollution in our waterways and may reduce the effects of flooding. Many species of wildlife depend on trees for habitat. Trees provide food, protection, and homes for many birds and mammals.
